Rank Funnel Builder GTMetrix Google Page Speed (Mobile/Desktop)
1 ClickFunnels A (1.3 s) 73/98
2 Systeme.io A (1.3 s) 68/66
3 Groove.cm A (1.7 s) 62/96
4 GoHighLevel A (1.9 s) 69/92
5 Kartra A (1.9 s) 65/96

As you can see, ClickFunnels and Systeme.io tied for first place with a 1.3-second load time in GTMetrix testing.

However, ClickFunnels performs significantly better in Google Page Speed tests, especially on the desktop, where it scored 98 points.

Systeme.io, while matching ClickFunnels’ raw speed, scored lower on Google Page Speed, with 56 on mobile and 61 on desktop.

This suggests the pages load quickly but might need optimization in other areas.

Groove.cm took third place with a 1.7-second load time and maintains good scores across both mobile and desktop. It’s particularly strong on the desktop, with a score of 96.

GoHighLevel and Kartra share the fourth spot, both loading in 1.9 seconds.

While this is slightly slower than the top three, it’s still quick enough for most business needs.

GoHighLevel shows consistent performance across devices, while Kartra performs exceptionally well on desktop but could use some mobile optimization.

The good news?

All these platforms received an A grade in GTMetrix, meaning they all load fast enough to keep your visitors engaged.

The differences we’re seeing are relatively small and mainly matter if you’re really focused on maximizing performance.

How I Tested These Funnel Builders

For this speed comparison, I selected some of the most popular sales funnel builders on the market and thoroughly tested them.

I wanted to ensure the speed test comparison was fair, so I created identical landing pages on all platforms.

The landing page looked something like this:

Example of Page Tested for Fast Loading

Here’s exactly what I tested:

I built the same landing page on each platform with these elements:

  • Headline
  • Sub-headline
  • Logo
  • Main image
  • Email subscribe form
  • Additional text section with headline
  • Bullet points
  • CTA button

After creating identical pages on each platform, I ran them through:

  • GTMetrix speed testing tool
  • Google Page Speed Insights (both mobile and desktop tests)

I made sure to test each page multiple times at different hours to get consistent results.

The numbers you see in the comparison above are the average scores from these tests.

This approach gave me accurate, real-world performance data that shows exactly how fast each platform can load a typical landing page.

The final rankings are based on a combination of GTMetrix load times and Google Page Speed scores, with extra weight given to mobile performance since that’s where most traffic comes from these days.

Detailed Analysis of Each Funnel Builder

Now let me show you exactly how each funnel builder performed in my tests.

I’ll break down their GTMetrix and Google Page Speed scores, explain what makes some platforms faster than others, and share what these results mean for your business.

Let’s start with our fastest performer.

1. ClickFunnels

ClickFunnels - Fastest Sales Funnel Builders

ClickFunnels emerged as the fastest funnel builder in my testing, with impressive results across all speed metrics.

On GTMetrix, it achieved an A grade with a loading time of just 1.3 seconds.

To put this in perspective, anything under 2 seconds is considered excellent for a landing page with images and forms.

The Google Page Speed scores tell an even better story:

  • Desktop: 98/100 (nearly perfect performance)
  • Mobile: 73/100 (solid mobile optimization)

ClickFunnels’ desktop score of 98 is particularly noteworthy, as it’s the highest among all tested platforms.

This means pages load almost instantly for desktop users.

While the mobile score of 73 might seem lower, it’s actually the best mobile performance in our tests, showing that ClickFunnels has put significant work into mobile optimization.

The platform achieves these speeds through efficient code and smart image optimization.

When building the test landing page, I noticed the platform automatically compressed images without significant quality loss.

2. Systeme.io

Systeme.io sales funnel builder

Systeme.io is tied with ClickFunnels for raw speed, and it also clocks in at 1.3 seconds in GTMetrix testing.

This might surprise some people, as it’s often seen as a more budget-friendly alternative.

The Google Page Speed scores, however, tell a different story:

  • Desktop: 66/100
  • Mobile: 68/100

While these scores are lower than ClickFunnels, don’t let them discourage you.

In real-world testing, Systeme.io pages still load very quickly.

The platform seems to prioritize actual loading speed over technical optimization metrics.

One thing I noticed while testing is that Systeme.io handles images particularly well, with automatic compression that helps maintain those fast loading times even when you add multiple images to your pages.

3. Groove.cm

Groove.cm Funnel Builder

Groove.cm secured third place with a solid GTMetrix grade of A and a loading time of 1.7 seconds – still well under that crucial 2-second mark that users expect.

The Google Page Speed scores were quite balanced:

  • Desktop: 92/100
  • Mobile: 69/100

While it’s a bit slower than our top three, these are still strong numbers.

The 92 desktop score shows excellent optimization for computer users, while the mobile score of 69 keeps it competitive with the faster platforms.

During testing, I noticed GoHighLevel maintained consistent performance even with all the landing page elements loaded.

The platform seems to handle resource loading quite efficiently.

5. Kartra

Kartra Darag And Drop Funnel Builder

Kartra rounds out our top 5 with a GTMetrix grade of A and a loading time of 1.9 seconds, matching GoHighLevel’s performance.

Looking at the Google Page Speed scores:

  • Desktop: 96/100
  • Mobile: 65/100

The desktop score of 96 is actually excellent, matching Groove.cm and coming close to ClickFunnels.

When I tested the landing page on Kartra, everything loaded without any issues. I ran the tests multiple times, and the results were consistent each time. While it might not be the fastest in our comparison, it’s still quick enough for most business needs.

Understanding the Performance Metrics

To help you better understand these test results, let me explain how each testing tool works and what the scores actually mean for your funnels.

GTMetrix

GTMetrix measures how fast your page loads in real browsers.

GTMetrix Home

The tool looks at several factors:

  • Total loading time
  • Page size
  • Number of requests
  • Time to first byte
  • Time until page is interactive

When GTMetrix gives a grade like “A (1.3s)“, it means the page not only loads quickly but is also well-optimized overall.

That 1.3-second number is particularly important because it represents the actual time a visitor would wait before seeing your page.

Google PageSpeed Insights

Google PageSpeed tests your pages differently for mobile and desktop devices.

Google Page Speed Insights

That’s why you see two numbers like “73/98“.

The first number (73) is your mobile score.

This matters a lot because most people now visit funnels from their phones.

A score above 65 on mobile is actually pretty good, considering all the limitations of mobile networks.

The desktop score (98) shows how your page performs on computers with faster connections.

Anything above 90 here is excellent.

What These Scores Mean for Your Funnels

While these tests give us reliable data for comparison, your actual funnel performance might be different.

Think of these scores as a baseline – they show what’s possible when the platform is optimized well.

Real-world performance depends on what you add to your pages:

  • More images will increase load time
  • Complex forms might slow things down
  • Third-party tracking codes affect speed
  • Payment processors add extra loading time

This is why I made sure to test with a realistic landing page setup rather than empty templates.

It gives you a better idea of actual performance when building real funnels.

Ready to Build Your Fast-Loading Funnels?

Each platform in my test loads fast enough to maintain a good user experience, though some clearly perform better than others.

ClickFunnels stands out with the best overall performance, but any of these platforms can help you build effective funnels if appropriately optimized.

Remember, while speed is important, it shouldn’t be the only factor in choosing your funnel builder.

Consider your specific needs, budget, and the features you’ll actually use.
