Over the years, I’ve seen several different ways agencies use ClickFunnels when working with clients.
Some approaches are simpler and cheaper. Others are more advanced and built specifically for agencies that want to scale.
Two Main Ways Agencies Can Use ClickFunnels
From my experience, there are two main approaches.
The first one is simpler and cheaper – better suited for freelancers or people who are just getting started with client work and don’t want to invest a lot upfront.
The second one is the full agency setup – more expensive, but it gives you everything you need to run a proper agency operation.
So, let me walk you through both.
This is the simpler and cheaper route, and it’s probably the best starting point if you’re just getting into client work.
Here’s how it works:
You build everything from your own ClickFunnels account (funnels, sales pages, email automations, etc.) and then transfer it to your client using the Share Funnels feature.
This ClickFunnels feature lets you perfectly transfer funnels from your ClickFunnels account into your client’s account.
You get to pick exactly what gets transferred – specific pages, the whole funnel, email sequences, or whatever your client needs.

There’s also another way to work with this setup: your client can simply add your email to their ClickFunnels account, and you can log in and do the work directly in their account.

Personally, without any doubt, I’d go with the Funnel Builder Certification and the ClickFunnels Agency Lifetime Account.
I know $5,500 sounds like a lot.
But this is a lifetime license – you won’t be paying monthly like everyone else.
Even with just a small number of clients, it will pay for itself over time.
And will also get the training, the certificates, and the full agency infrastructure that ClickFunnels has built out.
That said, if you’re just starting out or the budget isn’t there yet, there’s nothing wrong with going with a regular ClickFunnels account and using the Share Funnels approach to serve your first clients.

Does the $5,500 Actually Pay Off?
This is the question most people have, and I think it’s worth doing the actual math rather than just saying “yes, it’s worth it.”
You get 50 sub-accounts.
The minimum recommended price per sub-account is $97/month.
Realistically, a new agency can expect to fill somewhere between 5 and 10 of those accounts in the first 6 to 12 months.
At 5 clients, that’s $485/month – over a year, that’s $5,820, which already covers your upfront investment.
At 10 clients, you’re looking at $970/month, or $11,640 over the year, just from the accounts alone – not counting what you charge for your actual services.
