Perspective Funnels TutorialThis Perspective Funnels (Perspective.co) tutorial shows you exactly how to use Perspective Funnels from start to finish.

You’ll learn how Perspective Funnels works by walking through the real process: opening the dashboard, creating a funnel from a template, editing pages, connecting a domain, publishing the funnel, and tracking leads.

I use Perspective Funnels as a mobile-first funnel builder when I want something fast, clean, and focused.

In this tutorial, I’ll show you the same workflow I use in practice, including what I pay attention to and what I skip on purpose to avoid overcomplicating things.

This article also includes a Perspective Funnels video tutorial, so you can watch the complete walkthrough or read the steps below, depending on how you prefer to learn.

Why Perspective Funnels Feel Confusing at First (And What Actually Matters)

When you first open the Perspective dashboard, it’s normal to feel a bit lost.

There are tabs at the top. Buttons on the right. A workspace selector that you probably don’t need yet.

Here’s the thing:

It’s not that Perspective is poorly designed (actually, they’re pretty perfect at that).

It’s just showing you everything at once—and most of it doesn’t matter when you’re just trying to build your first funnel.

So what actually matters?

Three things.

  1. The Funnels tab is where you’ll spend 90% of your time. This is where you create new funnels and edit existing ones.
  2. The funnel editor is where you customize your pages. Change headlines, swap images, adjust button text—all the actual building happens here.
  3. The publish button makes your funnel live.

That’s it.

Everything else—performance tracking, inbox integrations, workspace management—those features exist for specific use cases. But you don’t need them right now.

Here’s my approach:

I pick a template that matches what I’m building. I customize the pages to fit my offer. I publish it and test the link.

Then I move on.

The mistake most people make?

They try to learn the entire platform before building anything.

That’s backwards.

Build first. Learn the advanced stuff when you actually need it.

Perspective Funnels Video Tutorial (Watch the Full Walkthrough)

If you prefer watching to reading, I recorded a full Perspective Funnels video tutorial that walks you through the dashboard, building a funnel, and publishing it step by step.

You can watch it here and then continue reading below if you want more details.

What You See When You First Log In

When you log into Perspective for the first time, your dashboard will look pretty empty.

Perspective Funnels Dashboard

That’s normal.

You won’t have any funnels yet. Your performance stats will show zero. Your contact list will be blank.

Here’s what you’ll see at the top of the screen:

Three main tabs—Funnels, Performance, and Inbox.

Perspective Funnels Primary Tabs

The Funnels tab is where you’ll create and manage your funnels. This is your primary workspace.

Performance shows your stats.

Perspective Funnels Performance tab

How many people visited your funnels, how many became leads, and your conversion rates.

But until you publish a funnel and send traffic to it, this section won’t have much to show.

Inbox is where you can connect WhatsApp to chat with leads inside Perspective.

Perspective Funnels Inbox Tab

Most people don’t need this right away.

On the right side:

You’ll see your profile icon.

Perspective Funnels Profile Icon

Click it to access your settings, connect a custom domain, or contact support if you run into issues.

On the left:

There’s a workspace dropdown.

Perspective Funnels Workspace

If you’re working with multiple clients, you can create separate workspaces for each one.

But if you’re just building funnels for yourself, you can ignore this completely.

And that big “New Funnel” button on the right?

Perspective New Funnel Button

That’s where everything starts.

Click it, and you’ll see a library of funnel templates—appointment funnels, lead magnet funnels, webinar registration, sales funnels, and more.

Perspective Funnels Templates Section

Pick one. Customize it. Publish it.

Connecting a Custom Domain

By default, Perspective gives you a generic link for your funnel..

That works fine for testing.

But if you’re sending traffic to your funnel or using it for a real campaign, you’ll want to use your own domain.

Here’s how to connect it:

Connect Domain in Perspective Funnels

Go to your main dashboard.

Click your profile icon in the top right corner.

Then select “Domains” from the menu.

You’ll see a button that says “Add Domain.

Perspective Funnels Add Domain

Click it.

Next screen:

Perspective will ask you what type of domain you want to use—a root domain like yourdomain.com or a subdomain like funnels.yourdomain.com.

Perspective Funnels - Choose Domain Type

Pick whichever one you want to use.

The setup process:

Perspective will show you a short step-by-step video that walks you through the exact DNS settings you need to add in your domain registrar.

Perspective Connect Domain Video Tutorial

This part is essential. Don’t skip the video.

You’ll need to log into wherever you bought your domain—GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, whatever you’re using—and add a few DNS records.

The video shows you exactly what to add and where to add it.

Perspective.co Connect Domain Video

My advice:

Follow the video exactly as shown.

DNS settings can be confusing if you’ve never done it before, but the video makes it pretty straightforward.

Once you add the records, it can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours for the domain to be fully connected.

That’s normal. DNS changes don’t happen instantly.

After it’s connected:

When you publish a funnel, you can choose to use your custom domain instead of the default Perspective link.

Your funnel will load at yourdomain.com/funnel-name or whatever subdomain you set up.

Creating Your First Funnel from a Template

Starting with a template is the fastest way to get your first funnel live.

Here’s how to do it.

Step 1: Click “New Funnel”

From your dashboard, you’ll see a button on the right that says “New Funnel.”

Perspective New Funnel Button

Click it.

Step 2: Browse the template library

Perspective will show you a library of funnel templates organized by type.

Perspective Funnels Template Gallery

You’ll see templates for:

  • Appointments and strategy calls
  • Lead magnets and free downloads
  • Webinar registrations
  • Recruiting funnels
  • And more

Each template is designed for a specific goal.

Pick the one that’s closest to what you’re trying to build.

Step 3: Preview the template

Click any template to open a preview window.

Perspective Funnels Template Preview

Here you can scroll through all the pages in that funnel.

You’ll see exactly what’s included—how many pages, what forms are on each page, and how the flow works.

This preview helps you decide if the template matches your needs before you commit to it.

Step 4: Click “Use Template”

If the template looks good, click the “Use Template” button.

PersPective Funnels - Use Template Button

Perspective will load the funnel into the editor, and you’re ready to start customizing.

Understanding the Funnel Editor

Once you select a template, Perspective opens the funnel editor.

Perspective.co Funnel Editor

This is where you’ll do all your customizing.

Here’s what you’re looking at:

On the left side, you’ll see a list of your funnel pages.

Perspective.co Funnel Editor Pages

These are the steps in your funnel.

Click any page in this list, and it loads in the main editor window.

Below your pages list:

There’s a Design tab.

Perspective Funnels the Design Tab

This controls your colors, fonts, button styles, and overall theme for the entire funnel.

And a Messages section.

Perspective Funnels Messages Tab

This is where your automatic emails live—the ones that get sent when someone completes your funnel.

On the right side at the top:

Perspective Funnels Top Right Buttons

  1. You’ll see a Preview button. Click it to see how your funnel looks before publishing.
  2. A Funnel Settings button. This is where you can change your funnel name and a few other basic options.
  3. And the Publish button. When you’re ready to make your funnel live, click this.

In the bottom right corner:

There’s a toggle to switch between mobile view and desktop view.Perspective Toggle to Swicth Desktop to MobileBy default, Perspective shows you mobile view because that’s how most people will see your funnel.

I rarely switch to desktop view.

I build everything in mobile view and trust that it’ll scale up fine on larger screens.

The main editing area:

This is where you see your actual funnel page with all its content—headlines, images, buttons, forms.

Perspective Funnels Main Editing AreaTo edit anything, just click on it. A settings panel will appear on the left where you can change the text, swap images, adjust colors, or remove the element completely.

Adding new content:

If you want to add something to a page, click the “+” button (or “New Block” depending on where you are).

PersPective Funnels Add New BlockPerspective will show you a menu of blocks you can add—text blocks, image blocks, video blocks, forms, buttons, payment blocks, and more.

Pick one, drop it on the page, and customize it.

That’s the editor in a nutshell.

You don’t need to understand every option right away.

Just know where things are so you can find them when you need them.

Accepting Payments with Stripe Payment Integration

If you’re selling something through your funnel, Perspective lets you take payments directly on the page using Stripe.

Here’s how to set it up:

Open any page in your funnel where you want to collect payment.

Click the “+” button to add a new block.

Add Payments Block In Perspective Funnels

Go to “Interactive Blocks” and select “Payment.

Interactive Blocks - Payments

Perspective will drop a payment block onto your page.

Connect Stripe:

On the left side, you’ll see an option to connect to Stripe.

Connect Stripe in Perspective Funnels

Click it and Perspective will walk you through a short setup flow.

Stripe Setup Flow in Perspective Funnels

You’ll need to log in to your Stripe account (or create one if you don’t have one yet) and authorize the connection.

This takes about two minutes.

Configure your payment settings:

Once Stripe is connected, you can set your price, choose your currency, and adjust a few basic options.

Payments Options in Perspective FunnelsYou can also add a product name and description so your customers know exactly what they’re paying for.

A few things to know:

Stripe handles all the payment processing.

Perspective just connects to it.

So you’ll need a Stripe account set up with your bank details before you can accept payments.

Stripe charges their standard processing fees—around 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction in the US. That’s separate from Perspective.

You can use Stripe’s test mode to make sure everything works before going live.

I always do this.

Create a test payment, run it through the funnel, and confirm it goes through correctly.

Thank You Pages and What Happens After the Funnel

The Thank You page is the last step in your funnel.

This is where you confirm that everything worked and tell people what happens next.

Here’s what you do:

Go to the thank you page in your funnel editor. It’s listed with your other pages on the left side.

Thank You Page in Perspective Funnels

Click on it, and it loads in the main editor.

What to include:

An explicit confirmation that their action went through.

What happens next. Be specific. Tell them to check their inbox, expect a calendar invite, or look for your download link.

That’s it.

Editing works the same way:

Thank You Page Editing in Perspective Funnels

Click on any text to change it. Swap the image if you want. Remove sections you don’t need.

Keep it simple. Don’t add too much here.

People just completed your funnel.

They know what they signed up for.

You just need to confirm it worked and tell them what to expect.

Automatic Emails and Lead Management

Every funnel in Perspective comes with built-in email automation.

You don’t need to connect a third-party email tool to send a basic follow-up.

It’s already there.

Here’s where to find it.

Open any funnel in the editor.

On the left sidebar, scroll to the bottom.

You’ll see a section called Messages.

Perspective Funnels Messages

Click on any message to open it.

Perspective Funnels Open Message

From here, you can control two things: when the email sends and what it says.

The timing options are simple.

Send immediately after someone completes the funnel. Or delay it by hours or days.

Perspective Funnels Message Sending Options

The email editor works like the rest of the platform.

Click on any text to change it.

Perspective Funnels Messages Editor

Now, what about managing the leads that come in?

Go to your funnel, then click Contacts.

Perspective Funnels Contacts Section

A word of caution:

If you need advanced automation with tags, sequences, and conditional logic, Perspective won’t replace a dedicated email platform. But for simple follow-ups and lead tracking, it does the job without adding another tool to your stack.

Publishing Your Funnel and Testing It Properly

Once you’ve edited your pages and everything looks ready, it’s time to publish.

Here’s how:

Go to the top right corner of the editor and click the “Publish” button.

Perspective Funnels Publish Funnel Button

Perspective will show you a final screen before your funnel goes live.

Perspective Funnels Final Screen Before Publish

On this screen:

You can change your funnel link. By default, Perspective creates a URL based on your funnel name. You can edit this to something shorter or more relevant.

You can preview the funnel one more time to make sure everything looks right.

You can check a few last settings before publishing.

Then click “Publish.”

Perspective generates the live version and gives you a link.

Perspective Funnels Published Funnel With QR Code

You’ll also see a QR code on the screen. This is useful if you want to test your funnel on your phone right away.

Just scan the code with your phone and the funnel opens in your mobile browser.

Now here’s the important part:

Test it before you send any traffic to it.

Go through the entire funnel yourself.

Fill out the form. Click the buttons. Make sure every page loads correctly and that the thank-you page appears at the end.

Check your email to confirm the automatic message went through.

If you’re using Stripe, run a test payment using Stripe’s test mode to make sure the transaction processes.

Tracking Results. Funnels, Metrics, and Leads

Once your funnel is live and you’re sending traffic to it, you need to know how it’s performing.

Perspective tracks all of this automatically.

Here’s where to find your numbers:

Go to the Funnels tab on your main dashboard.

Find the funnel you published.

Published Funnels in Perspective Funnels

On the funnel card, you’ll see small icons.

Click on “Metrics.

Find Metrics Tab in Perspective Funnels

What you’ll see:

Funnels Metrics Perspective.co

How many people visited your funnel.

How many completed it (submitted the form or took the action you wanted).

Your conversion rate—the percentage of visitors who became leads.

This is the basic data you need to know if your funnel is working.

Viewing your leads:

Go back to your funnel card and click on “Contacts.

Funnels Contacts Metrics

Here you’ll see everyone who submitted their information through that funnel.

Click on any contact to see their details.

Perspective Funnels Contact Information

What they entered, when they came in, and which funnel they used.

There’s also a simple pipeline view.

Perspective Funnels Pipeline - Move Contacts

You can move contacts through stages like “In Review,” “Contacted,” or “Closed.
